Ed Dooling
Name: Ed Dooling
Title: Chief Executive Officer & Cofounder
Bio:
Edward Dooling has built and run several high-performing companies throughout his 25-year career.
Prior to co-founding Vanguard Healthcare Staffing, Edward was the Founder, President and Chief Growth Officer for American Pathology Partners. He and his two co-founders were successful in raising $75m from New Enterprise Associates. They successfully grew this business from a startup endeavor into an industry-leading anatomic and molecular diagnostic laboratory.
Prior to Founding American Pathology Partners, Edward was CEO and President of Resonance Health a publicly traded company.
Edward has also thrived in the bio-tech industry where he was hand-selected by Oxford BioScience to be the Chief Operating Officer of one of their portfolio companies, Asterand.
Edward has held executive management positions at several other companies. He was V.P. of Sales, Marketing and Managed care at InformDx, a Private Equity backed pathology company, which had a successful exit with the acquisition by AmeriPath. Edward was retained by Ameripath as the Vice President of Sales and G.M of the Anatomic Pathology Division. Under his leadership the Anatomic Pathology division became the top performing division within the company.
He started his career as a top sales performer at DIANON Systems, having earned a series of promotions during his tenure there, including National Sales Trainer, Regional Sales Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing.
Edward has also served on the Board of Directors of Patient Home Monitoring, which saw a 40x increase in shareholder value.
Before embarking on his professional career, Edward served our country as an officer in the United States Navy, where he had a distinguished career.
Edward graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. in Computer Science.
Steve Dooling
Name: Steve Dooling
Title: President & Co-Founder
Bio:
Steven Dooling started his medical career at Stryker Orthopedic. After two-and-a-half years in the top performing territory in the company, he co-founded Vanguard Healthcare Staffing with his father.
He possesses an extensive network in the medical device industry and is leveraging these relationships in his most recent endeavor.
Steven graduated from William Patterson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, including a concentration in Sales. He finished third out of 200 contestants in the National Sales Marathon.

Nicole Dooling
Name: Nicole Dooling
Title: General Manager
Bio:
Nicole Dooling has had an interest in the healthcare field since a young age. She holds a degree in Sociology and is an NHA-certified EKG technician.
To deliver stellar candidates, Nicole does exhaustive research on a client’s company to find the most qualified, top-tier talent that will help them build a successful sales team.

Thanasis Papaioanu
Name: Thanasis Papaioanu
Title: Vice President of Business Development
Bio:
Thanasis, a co-founder of American Pathology Partners, has 25 years of experience in business and product development, laboratory operations, and healthcare services.
Prior to AP2, Thanasis was a Managing Director at Harpeth Capital, LLC, a Nashville-based investment banking firm, focusing on healthcare services and information technology. Previously, Thanasis served as CFO of Innovative Pathology Services, a 14-pathologist AP laboratory based in Knoxville, Tennessee (now part of Quest Diagnostics). Prior to IPS, he was a Director at FTN Midwest, the investment banking subsidiary of First Horizon Bank (NYSE: FHN) and a Director at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, the investment banking subsidiary of SunTrust Banks (NYSE: STI), where he was a senior member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group.
Thanasis has been involved in over 40 completed M&A and financing transactions totaling to over $1 billion in transactional value, including being involved in the formation and capitalization of CBLPath, a New York-based pathology laboratory (acquired by Sonic Healthcare in 2011).
Thanasis holds a BS in electrical engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, an MS in electrical engineering and an MS in systems science & mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MBA from Emory University.

Brandon James Thompson
Name: Brandon James Thompson
Title: Partner in Aesthetics & Dermatology
Bio:
Brandon James Thompson, The Founder of Careers in Aesthetics, partnered with Vanguard Healthcare Staffing in 2020.
He has 20 years of outside sales experience, 12 in healthcare, 6 in management, hiring, and start up development, capital raise experience, and has founded two new companies as CEO in 2020. His attitude and love for the industry are unmatched.
Brandon is always learning and on the front end of new technology.

Megan Dooling

Zach Condit

Bio:
Zach comes to Vanguard Healthcare Staffing with a background in sales and marketing. He was responsible for the growth of a small business by tripling the number their active accounts. During that time, Zach acquired skills in leadership, maintaining customer relationships, and building his own team. Zach joined the Vanguard Healthcare Staffing team in 2018 and has been able to successfully marry his interpersonal skills and dedication to finding the best talent for our clients.
